BUCKHEAD.   The culinary baby of owner-chef Joël Antunes, this contemporary Buckhead restaurant is an exciting foray into French cuisine with an Asian tinge, and it's garnered both praise and delight. The chic surroundings – complete with expansive windows, leather banquettes and a vibrant red tile wall separating the kitchen from the dining area – are luxe but not overpowering. The rich, seductive menu features a wonderful bouillabaisse, veal sweetbreads, beef short ribs, roast lamb and Alaskan king crab salad. Beautiful desserts and a selection of fine wines are both available. A 42-seat chef's room affords guests a sharp, private setting that is ideal for parties and meetings.

Chef Joel Antunes moved his wizardry from the Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, and Atlantans still can’t get enough of his decidedly French fare. The menu changes at the chef’s whim, but you’ll also find the very best sweetbreads as well as veal and lamb dishes. We totally trust his sommelier to pair wines for us. Bright and open, Joël isn't too stuffy. It even offers free pizza at the bar on Thursday nights.
